FAVORITA

This is another white grape typical of the Roero; over the centuries it has become the Roero farmers’ favourite (“Favorita” is an Italian adjective meaning favourite). The Favorita grape variety possibly originated in the sunny and dry Ligurian lands and reached us by the trading caravans which used to ply the famous salt and oil routes between the South Piedmont hills and the Ligurian coast.
